1.) Concord @ Plymouth - The Pilgrims beat the Minuteman twice last year by a total of three points and have won the last three matchups. This game promises to be another nail biter as both teams enter unbeaten in six contests.
2. Penn @ Mishawaka - Another matchup of unbeatens that does not have the history of the Pilgrims-Minuteman matchup as the Kingsmen have won four games in the last two seasons against the Caveman.
3. Warren Central @ Carmel - The Greyhounds have won the last two matchups and both teams have losses to Cathedral this year. This could be a preview of the 5A Title game.
4. Lakeland @ Fairfield - The Fairfield Falcons have not lost a regular season game since October 14, 2005 and have dominated this series in recent years. However, Lakeland is unbeaten also which should make for an interesting matchup.
5. Ben Davis @ Center Grove - The other good 5A matchup in Indy is the undercard to the WC-Carmel game, but should provide fans with a great game as both teams have a good seasons.
6. Monrovia @ North Putnam - Having gotten past Speedway, the North Putnam Cougars await the Bulldogs. Monrovia is having a dream season but must play well to get by their old nemisis.
7. Northview @ South Vermillion - The Wildcats of South Vermillion are quitely putting together a great season. Northview is also starting to put a quality team on the field, so a matchup of these two up and coming programs should provide for a good game.
8. Beech Grove @ Ind. Ritter - Alright Beech Grove, you have caught my attention after the win over Heritage Christian. Let's see what you can do with the defending A Champions.
9. Hamilton Heights @ Northwestern - The Huskies have won five in a row after a season opening loss to Tipton. This game will go along way in determining the Mid-Indiana Conference Champion.
10. South Spencer @ Forest Park - After getting by Southridge, the Rebels of South Spencer are getting serious about a PAC championship. However, they cannot be looking ahead at the Heritage Hills game or they could get tripped up by an improving Rangers squad.

In addition, the 2009 National High School Football Championship will most likely be settled Friday night as Byrnes (SC) Duncan, rated #2 in the nation, travels to Florida to take on top rated Ft. Lauderdale St. Thomas Aquinas. The game will be televised on ESPNU starting at 7:00pm. I will be taping the game to watch as soon as I get back from the Lakeland-Fairfield game.
