Warren Central 14, Carmel 7. 7:00 minutes left 2nd.Q.......
Final score - 42-36 2ot.
...... Warren Central beats MIC conference foe Carmel to take home the trophy. It's ironic, that WC's head coach John Hart, won the 4A title, while coaching at Reitz just two years ago.
So coach Hart joins a small number of Indiana football coaches who have won state championships at two different schools.

Wow! I really hope the IHSAA reviews the video of the championship games to evaluate the officials. I saw some really bad calls made. That touchdown call in the Warren Central game was pathetic. I could have cared less who won the game.

I could have cared less who won the game. I was not personally at the game, so I can't make an intelligent statement one way or another concerning the officiating, but I know many are saying it was one of the worst officiated games they have seen, if true, I would only say this, a championship calibur game deserves the best officials available.

I was at the game and id haft to agree theres no excuse for the ref who blew the out of bounds call he was standing 2 feet away literally looking right at the play........there no reason why he shouldn't have made that call, replay after replay CLEARLY showed he was out of bounds and that cost them the game, that call was the difference between carmel winnning or going into overtime and eventually losing its pretty upsetting that we hire the best refs to do this game and they blow a huge call standing right next to the guy too bad for COACH MO. sorry i cant say warren won cause they really didnt and about 10,000+ people cleary saw that pathetic call no excusses!

I was sitting at the opposite end and far side of the field, about as far from the play as you could be, and I could see that the receiver land out of bounds. The referees indicated that the receiver would have landed in bounds had he not been shoved out. The rulebook apparently still has the "shove" rule in it. I find it surprising that more people are not complaining about the offensive pass interference call in the 2nd OT that I thought was worse than the touchdown call.

Let me shine some light on how the officials are picked. Throught the season coaches turn in bids. Those bids are for sectional, regional ,semi, state. If a coach and crew are buddies they get a state bid. If not they get the kiss of death which is the sectional bid. So its the good ol boy game.

I was at the Monrovia Ft. Wayne game. There were a couple of bad calls as well. Monrovia was a yard short on a touchdown and then Ft. Wayne was 3rd and long and got a pass interference call that was terrible. The ball was past the reciever when the Monrovia defender hit the receiver. Maybe they should look at a different format for picking officials.

There were some bad calls during the Reitz/Lowell game as well. Sorry bout Carmel losing because of bad calls, but congrats to Coach Hart. He was our coach for six years, and he stood in the corner of the field and watched part of the Reitz game and was supporting the team he built.

whiteshoes, i agree the offensive int call was bad also for the fact the defender never even played the ball and was faceguarding and he never turned around thats terrible but it shouldn't have even went to that honestly i dont really think they guy got pushed more like his momentum "carried" him out of bounds he had to extend out of bounds to catch it.
"I guess in sports, these things happen, but when an administrator from their side comes over and says, 'That's a terrible call,' what do you think?'' said Moriarity, declining to identify the Warren Central administrator.

Not much for football. Plus they were rated no.1 before the season. So not much of a suprise. Also, its not much of a suprise they got screwed out of the title. Carmel fans are getting used to people screwing are boys out of awards they deserve.

It's too bad that they don't have the resources or the enrollment to compete with other schools. PLEEZ!
