Indiana High School Football Regionals.
Class 5A
Valparaiso hosts Mishawaka and defends it's home turf. Valparaiso moves on to Semi-State.
Fishers travels north to Fort Wayne to take on Snider and returns home with a hard fought close win.
Lawrence Central is on a roll and it continues with a home win against Avon.
Who would have thought Bloomington North 6 and 6 against Castle 6 and 6 playing for a regional title. I'll go with Castle at home to take this one.
Class 4A
Hammond Morton travels to Concord and travels back home with a loss. Concord moves on.
New Haven has had a fine season but it ends on Friday. Bishop Dwenger is on a mission to take state and they won't stumble against New Haven.
Looks like Indianapolis Cathedral and Bishop Dwenger may be on a collision course and Pendleton Heights is the next hurdle that Cathedral jumps over.
Evansville Reitz hosts East Central but they won't be a gracious host. Evansville Reitz rolls on.
Class 3A
South Bend St. Joe's is playing their best football of the season but it won't be enough to beat Andrean. Andrean moves on.
Leo is missing their best player and it's going to be costly. West Lafayette makes the long trip to Leo and goes home with a win.
Hamilton Heights is undefeated but Indianapolis Chatard is always tough come tourney time. I'll take Chatard in this one.
Evansville Bosse is a sub 500 team but they play a much tougher schedule than once beaten Indian Creek. Bosse wins here.
Class 2A
Rensselaer Central looks to stay perfect on the season and will as they go on the road to beat Bremen.
Tipton surprised in their sectional but there won't be any surprise this week. Bishop Luers rolls to an easy win.
Speedway travels to North Putnam. North Putnam defends it's home turf and moves on.
Brownstown Central hits the road to take on Evansville Mater Dei and sees it's season come to an end. Mater Dei advances.
Class 1A
Can anyone beat Lafayette Central Cahtolic? South Central will try at home but will come up short. LCC cruises to an easy win.
Churubusco's home field advantage should be just enough for them to get by Hagerstown.
If this was basketball I'd take Milan. But it isn't so I'll take Guerin Catholic to win this one.
Fountain Central makes the trip to Perry Central and comes home with a win.
