That's fine. Tyler has a nice 18 footer but no not a 3 point shooter at all. He is a post player supposed to get inside shots. He is also not really much of a shot blocker but has done well with his defense and toughness this yr. His playing has been really slowed by those injuries but I don't think he is a college bust. He will be drafted but again He will not ever be a star player in the NBA but will be in the league. You could say that about all bigs not playing as good as ppg suggest they all need a teammate to pass to them. Thast funny. Man never a reasonable response from you. So Howard or Sulliger for that matter never get a good pass from a guard that creates? Are Point guard not supposed to create and distribute? It's a team game and he has been one of the most valuable to his team this yr no questions about it.

Actually, I would put Zeller about 4th most valueable player on UNC right now. Henson, Marshall, and Barnes are all ahead of him in my opinion. You say he has a nice 18 footer but I just haven't seen it in the games I've watched. I have seen him make a few outside shots but I would guess he shoots somewhere around 30% outside of layups. The ACC as a whole is way down this year not even you could argue that. Also, I wouldn't be betting on Zeller playing in the NBA. My guess is he will wind up overseas making a pretty nice living.

Ok I can agree with most of that but I don't like and wonder why you throw around the word layup like he is just out there by himself doing layup lines. So he is never challenged or defended on any of his inside shots? I would rate him in the top 4 as well. Also you mention ft shooting. He is the best ft shooter on the team % is the highest and on any tech or end of the game they would want him shooting. .
Don't get me wrong I am not blind to see he plays poor at times and also still needs to improve but so do all players all the time. He has skills for a big and can run. If he is playing the min he is getting then he is doing what he is told to do by his coach whom I trust has a better rep than any of us. He will never be a flashy player but he quietly does a very affective job.

I'm going to shock you here. I would have put Zeller and Henson both ahead of Williams from Maryland. I have seen Jordan Williams play several times this year and while he put up some very good numbers in those games......I thought his defense and blocking out left a lot to be desired.

Singler making first team all ACC is also a reputation pick.

that does shock me. I think Williams is a nice player though. He is a double double machine. I think I am just happy Tyler has played better as the yr has went.

I would have to agree with everything that is being said above. You guys are both making good points and mrmiyagi i would agree with you 100% on singler. I do not think tyler should have been on the first team but there had to be someone on another ACC team that should have made it insted of singler not to knock the kid but he has had a down year while smith has carried them. The ACC is also very down you have duke and UNC which are both very good but have lost some bad games and there is no one else in the ACC stepping up.
Also on Howard i thought i heard that he was named the tourny MVP? If so congrats to him he has been a great player at butler.

Matt Howard deserves any and all awards and accolades he gets. This young man was home-schooled until his high school years and adjusted well after entering Connersville High School. He could have been in the same player class as the Zeller brothers in high school if only he would have had a good high school coach. His full potential was not even tapped while playing at Connersville. He actually brought the ball up court most of the time during his Jr. and Sr. years. He would have been dominant if coached correctly. Thank God he ended up at Butler and good coaches. GOOD LUCK BULLDOGS...and Matt Howard!
