The state's best player proves again he is the best. He dominates as usual. He also has an extremely talented cast of players as team mates. This Washington team has once again improved steadily and surely as the season progressed. This is a very talented Hatchets team, maybe the best statewide, Cody is the difference-maker! The 4A powerhouse, Indianapolis North Central failed to produce as predicted and took a whipping at the hands of the team from the south, BS. The Hatchets have proven their rating while the others have fizzled! ;D Congrats to Cody and his crew. Best wishes against the Culver academy. All of Indiana's sports fans admire and continue to be amazed at the accomplishments of the fabulous Zeller Bros. from Washington, and rightly so! .... Starting with LUKE who beat out a player (McNugget) from Carmel for Mr. basketball! [/b] Go Hatchets!!!! FINAL SCORE IN THIS ONE, Hatchets run away with it 66-48.

Wow thats impressive, you guys beat a mediocre 3a team to advance to state. The sad part is both 2a teams are better than Washington. If Luke is looking for a loan he might give Josh a call. Tyler might want to give Gordon Hayward a call if he needs one. Someday Cody will be looking Teague up for one too. I have to say the Zellers have accomplished many things except beating a 4a team. Yes Washington has really improved since the level of competition has gotten worse.

I heard Batesville had twin towers. A couple of 6' 1" big guys known as the Goliaths of 3a basketball.

Batesville played their hearts out tonight. They just came up short. (No pun intended)
