I thought both of the Indiana "boys" had rough games. Tyler had 4 big turnovers and also had a crucial mistake on the final play because he weakly lost the ball and it flopped to Henson putting Henson in a really tough spot to end the game.
But I think the more talented Indiana player won the game..

Neither team played a great game. Really tough defense, and 2 closely matched teams was the reason. Teague didn't play a good offensive game against a couple very good guards, 3-11 from 2 and 0-4 on 3's and 1-3 in FT. I fully expected him to knock those 2 at the end, but missed, he is a freshman in a big game...it happens.
Tyler didn't overwhelm anyone either although he did a nice job on Davis who finished with 7 pts.. and 9 boards. Young freshman versus senior player. UNC did have a tough week with UNLV loss last saturday, at Wisconsin on Wednesday, and at Ripp arena today. I thought they looked spent in the last 3 minutes, especially the last play when the ball was tipped away from Zeller into Henson's hands and then got his attempt blocked, then UNC just quit..odd.
Zeller did draw alot of double and triple teams oddly, usually a coach of Cal's ability uses a defensive scheme to stop the best player on the other team, like Barnes or Henson. But hey it worked, guess that is why he is a coach and I am here sitting here typing on the computer.

First off Teague was 3-11 from the field including 0-4 from the 3 point line. He also had only 1 turnover for the entire game. I don't know how Zeller had only 4 turnovers but that looks like a very generous number from the stat man. Zeller did a nice job on Davis because he never helped off of him on the defensive end. I couldn't tell you how many times he failed to pick up a driver and just gave up layups. The Wisky game was at UNC and not at Wisky. As of right now I would have to say Ohio St. is the frontrunner for the national championship.

Oh didn't catch that, my bad. I agree that Ohio State looks very impressive, and I have them in the final 4 with UK. In the scheme of the UNC defense they may have told Zeller not to drop off Davis. I watched a bit of Davis the last few games and when his defender goes to cut off a driver, he goes to the alley oop with authority. Roy might have felt his guards should have cut off dribble penetration a bit better, and I didn't notice that many drives that they didn't cut off except once when Teague drove in there and scored.
Should be a good one next Saturday at Bloomington when UK comes to visit. Should be a good game, UK's first real road test in a hostile gym. It will be a true test for IU to see how far they have came from the Sampson debacle. Gooooo IU!!!!!!!!

Was not impressed with Teague on Saturday, but he is a freshman in a big game. The best player in the state last year would have knocked that free throw down at the end.

I think everyone saw that Teague is th real deal and should have won Mr Basketball unanimously. Those three guys in striped shirts should win MVP for IU.

With that speed and ball handling he didn't need a jumpshot. He will become a better shooter in the NBA next year. Zeller disappeared in the second half during winning time. He had to let his teammates and refs do the heavy lifting. I wonder if Tigerfire caught the A- reference.

Sorry I did miss the A- reference, please fill me in. I missed the last 5+minutes on TV, had to got a Christmas party for work.
Zeller dissappeared because they didn't get the ball inside, Vitale said it over and over. 10pt. lead went to a 2pt defeciet because they didn't go to CZ. He did make a nice screen on Teague on the last play to help VJ get freed up down the court to make the pass to Watford.
Finally you are really playing the ref card? Total fouls: IU-16 UK -13, FT:IU 14-17 UK 10-17, 3pt IU: 9-15 UK 2-7. Not to mention that Ted Valentine was refereeing, are you really saying he was partial to IU, don't think so.
Great game, even if the Hoosiers had lost. 2 teams playing hard, without all the chest pumping, gangster, thug mentality. Kentucky has nothing to hang their head about, they will go on and win the SEC, be a number 1 seed, and do well. They are a great team, but just lost to a team who played well and hit a shot of a lifetime to win.

Just because the freethrows were even doesn't mean the game was called fairly. Kentucky attacked the rim all night while IU settled for jumpers and somehow the freethrows were still even. IU never built its lead by going to Zeller but by hitting 7 straight threes some of which went in off the top of the backboard. Vitale might have said it over and over but Zeller never posted like he really wanted the ball. Where was Zeller on the defensive end? All those drives by Kentucky and Zeller was nowhere in sight.

He was guarding his guy. In the first half you saw CZ go help @ Teague made a great pass to Davis or Jones for a dunk, he can't guard both. UK strong suit is quick guards, so I expected them to get some drives. I thought the IU interior defense was pretty good. Officiating didn't lose the game for UK, IU"s 3pt shooting was the difference. They play 10 times UK wins 8 probably, but just not yesterday. Time to move to Notre Dame. Go IU.

Why do u guys even respond to migywigy. You can't reason with someone that's not reasonable. He's just a PooP throwing hater. Don't pay any attention to the fool and he might eventually go away.
