Teague impressed me this game. BUT, he also had Jordy on him and he doesn't have near the quickness. Teague plain and simple can not shoot the ball. You are not the best player in the state when you can't shoot a jumper. I was dissapointed with this matchup because I felt Crean should have put Will or Victor on him. Cody did vanish in the second half but it was not because he didn't want the ball. UK's size made it very had on the post passes to CZ and I really didn't see a good post pass the entire night from IU. Felt Watford, Will, and Oladipo became a little crazy and started playing to much one on one ball, but they where excited. Anyone who thinks the refs were the difference in this game is delusional. Hey miyagi, if Cody was so terrible on defense I encourage you to look to the stat board of Jones and Davis. The 2 matchups he had the majority of the night are also the guys that look very mediocre at best. "Because it's Indiana" - Our Coach Tom Crean.

I think everyone saw that Teague is th real deal and should have won Mr Basketball unanimously. Those three guys in striped shirts should win MVP for IU. Just a few points I want to make here. First, Indiana was whistled for three more fouls than Kentucky. Not often does the home to get called for more fouls than the visiting team, but it did yesterday, and I doubt that ever happens in Rupp Arena to the Wildcats. Second, the officials didn't shoot 10-17 (58%) from the line, the Wildcats did. If they hit a few more front ends, they have even more attempts. IU made the most of their attempts. Third, Kentucky should, and again, their fault, should have used a foul at the end on Verdel Jones to break up the play as they had two to give before sending IU to the line. They didn't. Calipari wanted them to, but they didn't. Fourth, not a Kentucky player or Coach has griped a bit about the officiating yesterday. So why are you? Biggest win in years for the Hoosiers. Don't taint it with you unhappiness that Zeller did play well, as did Teague, and your just trying to stir the pot. Let IU fans enjoy this one, gripe free. GO HOOSIERS!!!

Just because the fouls are close to even or favor one team by a few it doesn't mean the game was called fairly. If any Kentucky coach complained it would result in a fine with no questions asked. Kentucky took the ball to the rim and IU shot jumpers all night long but the freethrows were the same should tell you how poorly the game was called. Lastly, this is a basketball forum to discuss what one sees on and off the court.

The FACTS are the refs gave UK the opportunity to win the game, on legitmate fouls by IU. Jones and Lamb missed their FT's, so IU has a chance to win on a 3 and it goes in. How many times does it work out to hit the 3 and win? Rarely, just did Saturday. As mcuh as you hate it MM those are the FACTS.
You are correct that IU shot jumpers all night, so why are you dogging CZ saying he didn't want the ball. Remember IU hasn't had a big guy in 3 years that could post and score/draw fouls. So when the pressure was on, they went back to what they knew from experience...shoot the jumper. Fortunately UK missed thoses clutch FT's, and IU had a chance. Great game no matter who wins, great crowd, and I'm sure UK will get paybacks next year at Rupp. They are still a great team, this was just a bump in the road.

I'm a huge IU fan and am glad to see them getting back to some national prominence. I thought once IU got up 10 or so the game was called very fairly the rest of the way. Before that I thought IU was getting by with reaching and pushing on Kentucky's drives. Zeller had a decent game but sure gets lots of bragging from Vitale for one nice move. The rest of his points were wide open shots around the basket or freethrows from some calls I don't think Kentucky would have gotten on the other end. He even got one basket from not hustling back on defense. Cody is definitrly the best of the Zellers and is the only one of them that looks to maybe have a chance in the NBA. My biggest fear for this IU team is when they play a physical team on the road.
