Should be a great game tonight. At least 3 Division 1 players on the court, this is going to be fun. Get there early ...rumor has it Matt Painter will be in the house too.

Matt Painter witnessed a very entertaining ball game tonight. G'burg wins by 9. The difference ...free throws (and some untimely turnovers by the Bulldogs). B'ville was 5 of 10 - G'burg was 24 of 25! Great atmosphere, packed house. Thought both student sections were very spirited but very respectful for the most part. My takeaways; the Walsman kid from B'ville is a stud ...got undercut, landed on his head and bounced right up and hit 2 free throws & had a rim rockin' throw down that was called off (unclear on why the official called a foul on the Bulldogs). #30 for G'burg (sorry, didn't catch his name) is wicked good with the ball and is the clear floor general for the Pirates. Can't wait for Part II.

#30 is Brent McIntosh 6'4" So, Leading scorer for the game was Macy Holdworth 19 pts. On the throw down ( that was sweet), a Gburg kid that was following, not in the play was pushed from behind ( dumb move by a Bville player ). That was a big play and should have changed the momentum. Why did Garrett sit the 6'8" Jackson kid the 4th Qtr ??. He was giving Gburg fits.

Actually, I thought the Bulldogs should have pounded it inside a lot more than they did. It was clear the 3's weren't going to be the answer for B'ville. All in all though, it was a very fun game to watch ...that's what I love about Indiana High School basketball! Too bad this game wasn't scheduled a week later, they'd be playing at Hinkle next Saturday (instead of B'ville vs S. Ripley). It's a shame these two teams have to beat on each other because only one is going to make it out of the Sectional. EIAC is a very competitve conference this year - can't exclude Lawrenceburg & East Central either.

That was a pretty entertaining game, I agree! Not an empty seat in the gym and the game lived up to all the pregame hype IMHO. And ATB, you're right...unfortunate that only one team makes it out of sectional. I found an archived webcast for anyone who wants to listen... www.seilocalsports.com/webcasts/
