Does anyone think Warren Central's making it three-in-a-row here? Personally speaking, I doubt it.
Call me mean, call me biased, call me whatever, but Warren Central's the most overrated football team in the state of Indiana. Sure they've blown all but two teams out this season (East St. Louis and Ben Davis), and when you look at the blowouts, they've pretty much been what they were last year, and see what team's they've blown out this year (Franklin Central [4-3], Terre Haute North [3-4], Terre Haute South [2-5], Carmel [3-4], and Center Grove [2-5]). All but one team they've blown out has a losing record (as of week 7). They have yet to play the toughest teams in the MIC, North Central and Lawrence North, both with a 6-1 record, both competing with Warren Central for the MIC title (Warren Central loses any tiebreaker).
Now, don't confuse overrated with crappy. I think Warren Central is a good team one of the best in the state, but they're also getting a little more credit than they should be getting right now.
What're your thoughts?

I'm a Warrior fan and I agree. But it's not only who you beat, but how you beat them:
The Warriors beat Ben Davis easily 31-13 at Giant Stadium...while the Lawrence North Wildcats beat them in the last 15 seconds at home 28-21.
LN defeated Terre Haute North 42-20 at home...while the Warriors defeated them 59-3 at home.
The Warriors defeated Center Grove 68-10, the Wildcats defeated them 35-14.
And lastly, the Warriors beat Carmel 42-7...the Wildcats? Well, they lost to the Greyhounds 10-9.
I'd compare Warren's scores with North Central...but as we all know the Panthers got blown out at home by LN 31-7.
I personally think Warren is as good as advertised....but we'll know for sure when they face the improved Wildcats and Panthers.

I think it's a lock. At this point, only a MIC all star team (excluding WC, of course) could be competitive with them. LN and NC have to knock each other off to face WC in the sectional final so the draw shapes up nicely for them.

I heard someone mention that when teams have faced WC this season, they don't (truly) believe they can win that game. I think NC and LN truly believe they can beat WC. Heck, NC and LN are two of the best three teams in the MIC.
I think North Central can pull off the upset at home. If it was at Warrior Stadium, I think that would be an entirely different story.
As for LN, they should have JT Owens back at 100% for that game. Having him healthy will do wonders for the running game again, since LN will have an elusive back in the backfield again instead of a power back in Dominique Burton. Also, Lawrence North's defense has put up an average of 11 points per game, while Warren Central's has put up 15 (10 if you exclude ESL). You're talking about two of the staunchest defenses in the MIC and even the state of Indiana. I believe that game will be a dogfight down to the wire.
After Lawrence Central/Arlington, Warren Central won't have any breaks from there on out. LN/NC, Ben Davis, Avon, Snider, Crown Point, among others will be the ones on their playlist, if they manage to win week in and week out.
But hey, I'm looking forward to see how things develop!
