It's the potentially dangerous New York Jets next, then the hapless Buffalo Bills. If the Colts play the starters they will win both games and complete the 16-0 regular season. If they do not play the starters with the intention of winning, they will lose both games more than likely. I hope they take a chance and go for it. An undefeated season would be great from a fan standpoint. As far as injuries go, they could sit out the starters the next two games and then suffer injuries in the 1st round of the playoffs. There are no guarantees either way. So I say go for it!

So much for an undefeated season, let's hope they can go on to win the SuperBowl! By the coach not letting the starters finish and win this game, they the same as said, season records mean absolutely nothing, never mind the loyal ticket buying fans, the legacies involved, the hopes and dreams of the players and their opportunity to standout in their profession, by going down in the record books as an undefeated team, a rare feat in this day and age.
In the end all the Colts' brass cares about is the first game of the playoffs. The regular season is worthless except to get to the first game of the playoffs. Undefeated seasons mean nothing to them, in spite of what everyone else wants, the players, fans and whoever does not matter to the Colts' coaches and head office.
From this day on, I wil never waste my hard earned money to attend one of these "lame-duck-games" or should I say "wounded-duck-games".. ..All I can say is, they had better win the SuperBowl or suffer the criticism! As a Colts fan, I am disappointed with the result of this "mockery" of a football game!!

Win or lose in the playoffs, the fans will still come out next year. Only thing that ticked me off, was Painter getting thrown out there for the wolves to feed on!

No issue with the coaches decision. One can argue either side of the issue equally well. The issue I had in the Jets game was sending Painter out there with the ball on the 9 and only a 5 point lead. I'd left Manning in for that series and try to go on a long drive add a TD to the lead and then probably let Painter have the ball in better field position with a bigger lead to protect. Just my opinion.
Yesterday was a day when the best thing happened.... no regulars got hurt..... ask the Patriots about that....
