#1 Bloomington South versus #6 Kokomo play the night cap as they are the main show and real state championship game. However, as usual you must sit through the JV game first with Sagarin #17 versus #39 Culver Military for a so called 3a state championship.

There is no real State Champion and won't be until there is one class again. Until then there will be four state champions on saturday and all carry equal merit. I know you hate that, which is what makes it worth supporting. Go Hatchets!!!! Win No. 7!!!!

When you go to a concert they always save the headliner until last. The IHSAA does the same thing. I call 3a the JV title but in reality 25% OF 4A JV squads would probably beat the 3a winner so I'm being generous.

I love when we use Sagarin ratings that means that i guess washington in 08 was the real state champion getting the #1 overall rating.

Just checked and they are still #17. Carmel is still #15. Sagarin seems to be getting farther off because of the different tourneys. Washington has moved from #28 before the tourney to #17 without beating a single quality team. Culver has moved up 50 spots without a really good win as well. Thats probably what happened in 08 when Washington ended number 1. I think they ended the regular season that year somewhere around #25 which was probably about right that year. It looks like Sagarin is putting too much weight on the lower class tourneys.

Beating a dead horse HERE. No more one class in Indiana, remember they play 4 games on Saturday. No matter how much you cry, whine, hate it, stomp your feet, scream at the top of your lungs, hold your breath until you die, run away from home, kick the dog, push your little sister, THERE WILL BE 4 CHAMPIONS CROWNED ON SATURDAY...JUST GET OVER IT ALL READY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! See, just another example of your obsession with bashing anything other than 4A basketball. No one even prompted or cohersed you into posting this, but on your own you felt the need to bash any team other than 4A schools. I do agree that Kokomo vs. BS will be a great game and enjoyable to watch, but why do you feel this constant need to minimize or insult other smaller schools simply for being smaller, as if that was something to be ashamed of. |

Just for the record Washington and Princeton two 3A schools you seem to love to call out, NEITHER voted for class basketball. BOTH voted against it. Having said that however, now that class basketball is a reality and will remain a reality, 4a titles are no more important than 1a. |
