in the MVC, Ryan is currently:
#1 in minutes played #2 in scoring #4 in FT % #4 (tie) 3-PT FG made #9 in assists #9 in steals #11 in assist/turnover ratio #13 in DEF rebounds
He had 31 pts in a loss to Creighton last night. Only 24 points away from breaking the all-time UE freshman scoring record, if Ryan maintains his 15.5 ppg average, he'll end up a 450 regular season points. The down side, UE is getting pounded in the MVC. They are 0-13 in conference play. The upside, UE is super young, usually starting 3 freshman, a sophomore & junior. They are taking their lumps this year though.

I watched Ryan on TV today, and really don't see what all the Hype is about. He ended up with 17 but scored most of his points late with his team down big. He shot poorly and pretty much did nothing for most of the game.

UE performed very poorly as a TEAM against Bradley when Ryan scored 17. He now owns the freshman scoring record at UE (with 5 games remaining in the regular season) and is only 1/2 point away from the MVC lead in scoring. No hype, just the facts.

I was just stating the facts the way I saw them in the Bradley game. He had 17 in that game and stunk up the floor.....that is hype. Who cares about what his average is or the freshman scoring record. His team is bad and from what I saw he looks to be a big reason why. Somebody has to be the leading scorer on bad teams. It doesn't make them great players though.

The Aces usually have 3 freshmen and 2 sophomores on the floor, they have dealt with injury all season, had their big man quit the team (who averaged in double figures) - yeah, it's all his fault - LOL! You're right though, somebody has to be the leading scorer on the team & quite possibly the leading scorer in the Missouri Valley conference too - might as well be the kid from Batesville. Anything else you need to cry about?

atthebuzzer you know what they say about guys from martin co. dont you? martin co. is where the men are men and the sheep are nervous!!! Thanks, I forgot. I really don't get it though, this is a Ryan thread and all I'm doing is just updating, periodically, with some stat facts. I never said he was the greatest player ever - he's a freshman, playing his first year of D1 ball - man, cut the kid some slack ...

I'm not crying but it sure sounds like you are. Yes this is a Ryan thread and I gave my opinion of Ryan from what I saw. You didn't like it and started crying. If he was putting these numbers up on a good team it would be much more impressive. Why don't you give us his stats from the last couple games. I just had to check the stats after all of this. I see he has went 1 for 6 from the floor each of the last two games. Why didn't you post those stat facts?

I know that good players don't miss shots, they get triple doubles every game, and they only play for winning teams. They stop scoring when the game is out of reach so their stats are not padded. With that in mind, here are some fairly recent comparisons of freshman Colt Ryan: PPG 14.8 RPG 4.5 APG 3.0 FG% 38.1 Jordan Hulls: PPG 6.3 RPG 2.3 APG 1.7 FG% 40.9 Maurice Creek: PPG 17.2 RPG 3.5 APG 1.6 FG% 54.5 John Wall: PPG 17.0 RPG 3.8 APG 6.4 FG% 47.5 Scott Wood: PPG 8.1 RPG 3.2 APG 1.7 FG% 37.3
